After my studies as a geodesy and hydrography engineer, I worked first as a software developer for hydrographic measuring systems and later as a Unix system administrator, both in the private sector. In 2006, I joined ISG D-ITET as a Solaris/Unix and storage specialist. In 2017, after a few years as co-leader, I took over the management of ISG D-ITET.

I discovered the fascinating world of Linux during my physics studies at ETH Zurich. I work at ISG D-ITET since 2006 and I had the opportunity to work in different areas since then. Currently, my focuses are web (support, development, servers) and licensing, including the team leadership. Since 2017, I am deputy head of ISG D-ITET.

After my studies in mathematics at ETH Zurich, I started as a system administrator at ISG D-ITET in 2008. My main activities are our Debian Linux infrastructure, virtualization, and security. I am the leader of the Linux team. Outside the ISG D-ITET, I contribute to the Debian project with focus on security, kernel maintenance and Perl modules packaging.

After my apprenticeship as IT system technician, I worked a few years for an international tele radiology company. I started to work for the ISG D-ITET in 2010. In 2015, I finished the Höhere Fachschule in IT Services Engineering (HF). My competences at the ISG D-ITET group include customer support, printer management and Baramundi software management. Special IT interests are private projects with Raspberry Pi.

I am an avid computer scientist with proven proficiency certificate and many years of experience in Linux and Windows administration. Since 2010, I am part of the ISG D-ITET team and manage the mail server infrastructure. In addition, I am responsible for the department’s account management and the supervision of our apprentice. Even at home, I cannot let go from computers, run my own blog and mail server, port old games to new hardware, and solder with Arduino boards to get the perfect audio advent calendar for my children.

After serveral years working as a Chemikant in the chemical industry, I decided to expand my horizon and studied informatics at University of Applied Sciences (FHBB/FHA). In 2008 I have joined ISG D-ITET. My main responsibilities are customer support for Linux, Windows and network issues. In addition I'm responsible for server and student room maintenance.

I joined ISG D-ITET in 2012, with a couple of years of experience in the development of web applications as well as in database and system administration. Here, I graduated as MAS in computer science at the ZHAW. In addition to the development of web applications and user support, I am responsible for the maintenance of our revision control systems at ISG D-ITET. My biggest interest is software development, which I also like to do in my free time.

After finishing my MSc in chemistry at the University of Bern I was able to turn my hobby into a profession and worked as a systems engineer in various small businesses managing mixed environments of Linux, Mac and Windows systems including network infrastructure. After joining ISG D-ITET in 2018 my working areas are print services and software for Linux, as well as our HPC environments and Samba network shares.

I finished my studies in business informatics as MSc in Computer Science at the University of Zurich. In 2006 I joined ISG D-ITET, where I have been active in various areas, with a strong focus on Linux/ Unix systems. Currently, I am owner for storage, database and monitoring systems as well as for network management and for the development of system related software. My extended responsibilities include project management, product costing/ tender procurement and staff management for auxiliary assistants. I am the head of the customer care team.
